Privacy Policy

Last updated November 3, 2026

MoldEstimates.com (the "Site") is operated by ThriveUp LLC, based in Greenville, South Carolina ("MoldEstimates," "we," "us," "our"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Estimate and contact requests: your name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code; your answers about the mold (location, size, whether it is visible, recent water events, HVAC involvement, home type); the estimate band you were shown; links to photos you choose to share; and notes.
  • Emergency requests: your name, phone number, ZIP code, a description of what is happening, and optionally your email address.
  • Company inquiries: your name, company, market, revenue band if you choose to give it, email, phone, and notes.
  • Correspondence: anything you send us by email or reply.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit.
  • With each form submission we store your IP address, your browser string, the page you submitted from, and a timestamp. We use these to detect abuse and spam.

We do not knowingly collect payment card data, government identifiers, or health records on the Site. Please do not include them in notes.

2. How we use information

  • To generate and show your cost estimate.
  • To route your request to the featured independent remediation company for your area, or to hold it and contact you ourselves where no company serves your area yet.
  • To call you back on an emergency request and to prioritize it ahead of standard inquiries.
  • To respond to company inquiries and prepare proposals.
  • To answer questions, maintain and improve the Site, measure traffic, and keep the cost data accurate.
  • To detect, prevent, and investigate spam, abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
  • To comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. Consent to contact

When you submit a form, you consent to be contacted by ThriveUp LLC and by the featured company for your area about your request, by phone, text message, and email, at the details you provide. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to a text, telling the caller, or emailing [email protected].

4. How we share information

  • Featured remediation companies. When you submit a request, we share it, including your contact details and your answers, with the featured independent company for your area so that it can contact you. That company is a separate business with its own privacy practices, which we do not control. Where no company serves your area, we may forward the request to a company we select for that purpose.
  • Service providers. We use vendors to host the Site, store submissions, and deliver email. At launch these are Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and email delivery). Vendors process data only to provide their services to us.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information to comply with law, a subpoena, or a government request; to enforce our Terms; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MoldEstimates, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If ThriveUp LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own direct marketing.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

At launch the Site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tags. If we add privacy-respecting analytics or advertising tags (for example, to measure visits or to show ads about the Site to people who visited it), we will update this section to name them and explain your controls. You can control cookies through your browser settings at any time. The Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there is no common standard for them.

6. Data retention

We keep submissions for as long as needed to respond to them, to operate the featured-company program, to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution requirements, and to maintain security records, and then we delete or anonymize them. You can ask us to delete your submission sooner, subject to the exceptions in Section 8.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and spam protections on every form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as the law requires.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information you have given us, to stop sharing it with a company, or to stop contacting you. Email [email protected] with your request and the details you submitted so we can find it. We will verify your identity and respond within the time applicable law requires. We may keep information we need to complete a transaction you requested, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to appeal a decision about your request by replying to our response.

9. Children

The Site is intended for adults who own or manage property. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Where information is processed

The Site is operated from the United States, and information is stored with providers that may process it in the United States and elsewhere. If you use the Site from outside the United States, you consent to that processing.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we change the date at the top and, for material changes, note them on the Site. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
